Triton 20ft Open Top Containers (OTCs) come equipped with corrugated steel sides and a 1 1⁄8" thick marine wooden floor. Their key feature is their open tops, which are covered by a durable tarpaulin.
Open Top Containers are the same size as standard shipping containers. They come internally equipped with lashing rings and bars to help secure goods. Their removable roof bows and swingable doors make it easier to load and unload challenging cargo. For this reason, these units are ideal for goods with special loading requirements and oversized or bulky freight. Items can be loaded through the top using overhead lifting equipment when required. They are suitable for machinery, timber, large pipes, and bulky equipment.
20ft Open Top Containers are usually readily available, and we provide these products in all high-demand hub ports.
At Triton, we lease our Open Top Containers through various short-term and long-term leasing structures tailored to meet our customers’ unique requirements. With a current fleet of over 7 million TEU of containers, we provide access to our equipment through more than 400 third-party-owned depot facilities across 89 countries.
NOTE: The dimensions and door openings of all containers correspond to ISO standards. However, due to production tolerances, a difference in measurement is possible.
